National Field Sales Manager

The Role

We are seeking an experienced field salesperson to train, support, mentor and manage our team of 12 Regional Sales Managers throughout the UK. Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful candidate must be happy to travel in the UK, staying away from home as necessary for up to 3 nights per week; working typically three days a week in field and one/two days each week at the Cambridge Head Office.


Supplying commercial LED lighting to electrical wholesalers, you will ensure that each Regional Sales Manager is working strategically with his/her Internal Sales Support person to maximise sales potential. Each must be working to a plan to ensure that relationships with key customers and developing customers are strong and they are receiving the service and support they need, so that agreed sales targets are achieved. You will also liaise with the company’s internal Marketing Department to provide marketing backing.


In addition, you will work with the Regional Sales Managers to build relationships with their wholesaler customers’ regional directors and managers, helping to implement attendance at regional meetings, local promotions and rebates, as appropriate.


The successful candidate must have experience in field sales, ideally in electrical wholesaling and possibly the lighting sector, or similar industry. Experience in customer relationship management is also essential as is the skills to coach, motivate and manage individuals to implement sales strategies to achieve targets.
