Trade Counter Assistant

Our client is looking for a Trade Counter / Warehouse Trade to assist in providing our customers with a first-class service. Small, friendly team. Experience of serving customers in a trade environment an advantage.

Warehouse duties also required.

  • Experience in a similar role and market and products knowledge would be highly advantageous

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Serving customers on our Trade Counter
  • Taking customer orders via telephone/internet
  • Check off supplier deliveries
  • Offload delivery vehicles safely
  • Answering telephone enquiries and orders plus processing responding to and chasing quotes and orders
  • Building, developing and managing excellent customer relationships
  • Preparing new displays for the trade counter with offers and new products
  • Maintaining a good level of product knowledge
  • To ensure stock arriving in the warehouse is accepted, signed for and checked in a timely manner
  • To report breakages and/or missing items to the supplier/purchasing as soon as possible from any delivery
  • To put away stock in a timely and safe manner
  • To maintain a tidy, safe and manageable working environment and adhering to all safe working practices


  • Working hours : 7am – 5.30pm, but it’s negotiable
  • Salary: £20.000-22.000 dependent on experience
